THE PROBLEM
What was getting in the way?
A streaming platform can look simple at the screen level while hiding complex rules underneath: rental windows, purchases, profiles, live schedules, advertising, entitlements, age restrictions and territorial rights.
THE THINKING
How the problem was reframed.
The work began from the commercial and rights model, then translated those rules into product journeys and technical controls. Playback was treated as the final expression of entitlement rather than an isolated feature.
WHAT CHANGED
From idea to working system.
The platform architecture connects catalogue, rights, transactions, profiles, live channels and playback in a coherent model, with a deliberately lean infrastructure for the early stage.
WHY IT MATTERS
The operating impact.
The result is a product that can evolve commercially without separating customer experience from the rules that make the business sustainable.
